Fixes
CS0623435/CS0625471: When you tried to log in to Tasks WebApp from a region other than Europe, an error occurred. We have now fixed this issue and you can now log in from any region.
Getting started
To use the app, you need to be a Unit4 ERP7 or Unit4 ERPx user.
Element types and actions
The Tasks app supports multiple task types, also called element types, such as absences, timesheets and invoices. You need to define the element types in Workflow tasks in Unit4 ERP7 or Unit4 ERPx. You also need to specify a process definition for each element type that will define what type of actions will be available for each element in the app. Some examples of typical actions are approve, reject, forward, and park. You can do this in Process definition in Unit4 ERP7 or Unit4 ERPx.
Task app configuration
Before you can access your tasks, view task details, and apply actions you must ensure the following configuration steps have been completed in Unit4 ERP7 or Unit4 ERPx:
Public API endpoints
In the Public API access (XAG005) window, give Read (R) access to the required Public API endpoints listed in the Public API section. The following list details the required Public API endpoints and their location in the Public API section:
- My Tasks (Tasks > My Tasks).
- Objects (Objects > Objects).
- Documents (Documents Archive > Documents).
Give Create (C), Read (R), and Update (U) access to the required Public API endpoints. The following list details the required Public API endpoints and their location in the Public API section:
- My Tasks actions (Tasks > My Tasks actions).
- My Recipients (Tasks > My Recipients).
Report objects
In the Object access (XAG002) window in Unit4 ERP7 or Unit4 ERPx, for each individual element type that you will work with give Read (R) access to their corresponding Report objects. The following list details the Report objects required for each element type and its location in the Report object section of the window:
Absence Approval:
- Absences (Time and expenses > Absences).
Goods Receipt:
- Goods receipt note (Procurement > Goods receipt note).
- Purchase orders (Procurement > Purchase orders).

How to use the Tasks app
The element types and the process definitions defined in Unit4 ERP determine the type of tasks that will be visible in your menu, as well as the fields and actions available to you. For more information, refer to Unit4 ERP Online Help.
- To view all the tasks for a task type, click or tap the task type name in the main menu. This expands the list of tasks for the selected task type.
- To view an individual task, click or tap the task you want to view from the task list. The information is displayed in the main window and will contain the following:
- General description
- Workflow log
- Details
- Documents (if any documents are linked to the task).
- To view further information for items in the Details section, click or tap the item you wish to view. This will open the Detail window which contains detailed information for the item. You can return to the main window by clicking or tapping the task name or the back arrow at the top-left of the Detail window.
- To view any available files attached to the task, click or tap Download in Documents. The document will open using the application you have configured for this type of file, normally this will be as a new window in your browser. You can scroll through multiple documents by swiping. You can also click or tap the arrow icon. Note: If there are no documents associated with the task, this option will not be visible.
- To process a task, in the main window click or tap the button that corresponds to the action you require, for example, Approve or Reject.
